Do you live in MA? Are you on welfare? Then you get a free car!

Massachusetts just might be the most worthless, useless state in the nation. Track record: Willie Horton, gay marriage, the "big dig," and now? Free cars for welfare recipients! Way to go, MA!

I originally saw the story here:

(I love his rants.)

And then I googled it and found it on hotair.com. So not only would the car be free, but the state, aka, taxpayer, covers "insurance, excise tax, title, registration, inspection, and approved repairs. The absolute frosting on the cake is a free AAA membership."

Honestly, it would be more beneficial to me to drop out of college, live at home, and go on welfare and unemployment. And if I move in with my grandma in MA, I could get a free car!

There is no such thing as "free", someone else, someplace else is paying for it.

I don't have a problem with giving people a "hand up", but what incentive do those people have to rise out of welfare if they knew they would be taxed to death and have to pay their AAA fees ?

Please stay in school, instead encourage your grandma to get the hell out of MA and stop helping financing these boondoggles. I am not very optimistic but when all residents of MA is on welfare and all production is shipped to other states, they may say, "wait a minute, there is something wrong with our business model".

Ohh don't worry I'm staying in school. Though I'd like to skip finals this week.

As Margaret Thatcher would say, "The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money." So is the case with welfare to a degree such as this.

hmmm, maybe I will have my kids move there before college so they can get a free car. The more you hand out, the more that hand stays stretched out.

No such thing as free......... Everything comes with a price. Some way some how, the government will screw them too.

I can't wait to pay for someone else's car! I'll feel so good for having helped someone less fortunate out as I ride my bike the 40 miles to work everyday.

Hmm, free car? What for? To get to AND from the welfare office???

I refuse to hate on the unemployed over this. Divide-and-conquer is a classic control trick. But nobody needs, I repeat needs, a car when there's no work around, even the people who are getting this free stuff would probably admit that.
